"The American Soldier" was chosen as TIME's Person of the Year.

They swept across Iraq and conquered it in 21 days. They stand guard on streets pot-holed with skepticism and rancor. They caught Saddam Hussein. They are the face of America, its might and good will, in a region unused to democracy. The U.S. G.I. is TIME's Person of the Year. By Nancy Gibbs (TIME)

I respect the soldiers' bravery as they risk their life for a noble cause, i.e. to relieve people in Iraq and bring them " freedom" and "self-government ". Everyone knows this is justification of fighting...

TIME did not chose diplomacy policymaker but people who expose theirselves to danger. However I felt TIME to accommodate the wish of the public(my first impression...).

US media coverage of Iraq attacks are criticized as it looks to be "manipulation of information". I cannot accept TIME's choice without question...
