Today's main event is a parade by King penguins. Irrespective of age or sex, everyone looks forward to seeing the parade. As it is held at the open space in front of Kaiyu-kan, the charge is free!!

Kaiyu-kan is located in Tempo-zan area, close to Osaka Port. It was opened in 1990 with the 2 concepts of "ring of fire" and "ring of life". A theme named "GAIA hypothesis"(*) by James E.Lovelock (1919~, academian in UK) is based on the exhibition, i.e.everything in the areas surround for Pacific Ocean are connected each other. (*) GAIA hypothesis is a new idea by James E. Lovelock. It is, "The earth with volcanic activity and every life exists on there are one life form which interact with each other.

Both Mitsuihiro and I do scuba-diving. So, we are interested in exhibition of GBR(great barrier reaf) and Pacific Ocean as there are a lot of fishes we saw in the water.
■ High angel fish & Angel fish
Big one is High angel fish.
■ Matamata turtle
Turtle with big face is Matamata turtle. It inhabit fresh water in South America. Only when it lays eggs, it will be landing. It takes a breath with jutting nose on the surface of the water.
■ Kinmemodomi(no English name)
We saw them in Cebu Island
■ Spotted eagle ray
Arari, Izu is famous for the diving spot to see spotted eagle rays. We have never been to Arari yet.
■ Whale shark
"Yu-chan" is a name of Whale shark. She is the most famous lives at Kayu-kan.
The size of well-grown Whale shark becomes ca.12metre. "Yu-chan" looks smaller than it. Whale shark which we met in Cebu looks like "Yu-chan".
■ Manta ray
Divers love Manta and Whale shark. When I saw Manta here, I remind of "teacher Ray" with "Finding Nemo"(movie):-p
■ Ocean sunfish
